Sports therapy

Prevent and heal your sports injuries

Sports therapy is a profession taught at the university level. Graduates are trained in injury prevention, emergency care, and the rehabilitation of orthopedic and sports injuries. Our therapists primarily work in clinics and on the field with sports teams.

In sports therapy, you will work closely with therapists to improve your condition. If you suffer from chronic pain, a sprain, fracture, muscle or joint injury, our therapists are here to help. If you want to enhance your performance and prevent injuries, they can also guide you toward achieving that goal.

What is the process of sports therapy treatment?
Our sports therapists are university graduates and are members of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association as well as the Quebec Athletic Therapists Corporation.

To help you reach your goals, they will:

  • Assess your condition

  • Create a unique treatment plan based on your needs

  • Apply this treatment plan during sessions

  • Help you return to your activities quickly and effectively

We offer various types of sports therapy services to better assist you:

  • Reconditioning after an injury

  • Evaluation of your needs to prevent injuries

  • Use of therapeutic modalities: muscle stimulators, ultrasound, Shockwave therapy, manual therapy, etc.

  • Event management

  • First responders on the field and emergency care

Targeted Clients:

  • Private clients, with or without insurance

What is the difference between sports therapy and physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a broader field aimed at treating a variety of physical issues, whether related to injuries, chronic pain, or musculoskeletal disorders. It can also be used for cardiovascular, neurological, or respiratory systems.

Sports therapy, on the other hand, focuses specifically on the injuries and needs of athletes, whether professional or amateur. It aims to optimize performance, treat sports-related injuries, and aid rehabilitation for a quick and safe return to sports activities. This often involves techniques such as taping, sports massages, and specific exercises to improve mobility and strength. It specializes in the musculoskeletal system.
